Warranty Coverage

The QDOS Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to eligible QDOS products that:

  • Carry the official Limited Lifetime Warranty label on the original packaging.
  • Were purchased from qdossound.com or an authorised QDOS retailer.
  • Were registered within the required registration period.
  • Are owned by the original purchaser.
  • Are supported by valid proof of purchase.

Selected QDOS cases, screen-protection products and power products may qualify for the programme. However, a product is eligible only when the Limited Lifetime Warranty label is clearly printed on the side or back of its original retail packaging.

Customers should not assume that every product within a particular QDOS product range is covered.

Depending on the type of eligible product, the warranty may cover:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship.
  • Functional failure during normal use.
  • Significant accidental breaks or damage.
  • Significant cracks, chips or scratches affecting the product’s intended protection or function.
  • Other qualifying damage accepted under these terms.

Warranty service is normally limited to one approved replacement per registered product during each calendar year. Unused replacements cannot be carried forward.

The warranty belongs to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another person.

Important packaging requirement

Customers must keep the original product packaging. QDOS may request a clear photograph showing:

  • The Limited Lifetime Warranty label.
  • The product name or product reference.
  • The barcode or SKU.
  • Other identifying information printed on the packaging.

Where the product’s eligibility cannot be verified, QDOS may be unable to approve the registration or warranty claim.

Registration Requirements

An eligible product must be registered through the QDOS warranty registration service within 30 days of the original purchase date.

During registration, the customer may be required to provide:

  • Their name and contact details.
  • The product name and product reference.
  • The compatible device model, where applicable.
  • The purchase date and place of purchase.
  • A valid receipt, invoice or order confirmation.
  • A clear photograph of the original packaging.
  • A clear photograph showing the Limited Lifetime Warranty label.

The original packaging must be kept after registration. Successful registration does not remove the requirement to retain the packaging, as QDOS may request further photographs or information when a future claim is submitted.

Proof of purchase and proof of eligibility

These are two separate requirements:

  • Proof of purchase may include a receipt, invoice or order confirmation showing the product, retailer and purchase date.
  • Proof of warranty eligibility is the original packaging showing the official Limited Lifetime Warranty label.

The packaging alone is not considered proof of purchase.

Submitting a warranty claim

When submitting a claim, the customer may be required to provide:

  • The original product-registration details.
  • A description of the damage, defect or failure.
  • Clear photographs or videos showing the problem.
  • Valid proof of purchase.
  • A photograph of the original packaging and warranty label.
  • The damaged or defective product, if QDOS requests its return.

QDOS may refuse or delay a claim where the required information is missing, unclear, inaccurate or cannot be verified.

Replacement Products

Every warranty claim will be reviewed by QDOS. A replacement will be issued only when the claim meets the requirements of the Limited Lifetime Warranty programme.

Where a claim is approved, the replacement product itself will be provided free of charge. The customer will only be asked to pay the applicable packaging, postage and handling cost. Customs charges may also apply to international shipments.

QDOS will normally aim to replace the registered product with the same product.

Where the original product, colour, finish or model is unavailable, QDOS may offer a suitable alternative that:

  • Is designed for the same registered device.
  • Provides the same or a similar function.
  • Is of a similar value, where reasonably possible.

A customer cannot request a replacement for a different phone, tablet, watch or other device simply because they have changed or upgraded their device.

All replacements are subject to stock availability. QDOS cannot guarantee that a particular model, colour, finish or design will remain available throughout the warranty period.

Discontinued products may be exempt where no identical or suitable replacement product remains available.

QDOS may refuse or revoke warranty service where it reasonably believes that:

  • The claim is fraudulent or misleading.
  • The product or packaging has been altered.
  • The warranty label is not genuine.
  • The product was purchased from an unauthorised seller.
  • The claim does not comply with these terms.
  • The programme is being misused or abused.

The warranty covers only the registered QDOS product. It does not cover the phone, tablet, watch or other device used with the product.

Exclusions

The QDOS Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover products that:

  • Do not carry the official Limited Lifetime Warranty label.
  • Carry only a one-year warranty icon.
  • Were supplied without original retail packaging.
  • Cannot be matched to the packaging provided.
  • Were not registered within the required registration period.
  • Were purchased from an unauthorised seller or reseller.
  • Were received free of charge as a promotional, sample or review product.
  • Are counterfeit or are not manufactured by QDOS.
  • Have an altered, damaged, removed or unreadable warranty label.
  • Are excluded from the programme under the current eligible-products list.

The warranty does not cover the following damage and situations:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Natural deterioration of materials over time.
  • Battery deterioration caused by normal use.
  • Minor cosmetic scratches or marks that do not affect function.
  • Discolouration that does not affect product performance.
  • Deliberate damage.
  • Misuse, abuse or mishandling.
  • Improper storage.
  • Damage caused by excessive heat or humidity.
  • Liquid, sand, dirt or contaminant damage.
  • Damage caused by fire, flood or other natural events.
  • Incorrect installation or application.
  • Air bubbles caused during screen-protector installation.
  • Failure to follow the supplied instructions.
  • Unauthorised alteration, repair or modification.
  • Theft or loss.
  • Incomplete, inaccurate or fraudulent claims.
  • Damage to a phone or other electronic device.
  • Damage caused by using the QDOS product with an incompatible device or accessory.

Products that were originally eligible but have since been discontinued will remain subject to stock availability and the availability of a suitable replacement.

QDOS may be unable to process a claim where the customer has discarded the original packaging and the product’s Limited Lifetime Warranty eligibility cannot otherwise be verified.

Device Lifetime Definition

“Limited Lifetime Warranty” does not mean the lifetime of the customer, and it does not provide indefinite replacement coverage.

The applicable warranty duration depends on the type of product and, where relevant, the supported lifetime of the device for which the product was designed.

Products designed for a specific device

For cases, screen protectors and other device-specific products, coverage is linked to the supported lifetime of the compatible device.

A device may be considered to have reached End of Life when:

  • Its successor has been released.
  • QDOS no longer manufactures or sells compatible products.
  • Suitable replacement stock is no longer available.
  • QDOS no longer reasonably supports the device model.

For eligible OptiGuard screen protectors, the current programme defines the standard device lifetime as one year, with claims potentially available for up to two years after the device reaches End of Life. Any replacement after that point is subject to stock availability and QDOS approval.

Eligible power products

For eligible power products carrying the Limited Lifetime Warranty label, coverage applies during the product’s reasonable useful life, subject to:

  • Normal and appropriate use.
  • The warranty exclusions.
  • Continued availability of replacement products or suitable alternatives.
  • The maximum warranty period stated by QDOS.

Maximum duration

Unless a shorter device-specific period applies, the maximum Limited Lifetime Warranty period is five years from the original retail purchase date.

The warranty ends when the applicable warranty period expires, even if the customer still owns or uses the product.

Shipping, Duties & Taxes

Where a warranty claim is approved, the replacement product will be supplied free of charge.

The customer is responsible for the applicable:

  • Packaging cost.
  • Postage and handling cost.
  • Return postage, where QDOS requests the original product.
  • Customs duties or local handling charges not covered by QDOS.

For international replacement shipments:

  • The parcel may be inspected by customs.
  • Customs processing may delay delivery.
  • Import tax or VAT may apply.
  • Additional charges may be collected by the local carrier or customs authority.
  • Charges imposed by third parties may remain the customer’s responsibility.

Any packaging and postage payment relates to the cost of processing and delivering the replacement. It is not a charge for the replacement product itself.

Customers who may be subject to customs charges should contact their local customs authority before completing the replacement request.
